about

A huge thanks for Savannah Bloch for creating such a sensitive film, for allowing space for music to help tell the story, and for taking risks with me in the recording and composing process. Another big thanks to the musicians on this soundtrack, whose insights, personalities and creative ideas all bring something special to these recordings. I would be remiss if I did not share some of the composing credit with them. Tracks 4, 11, and 14 were improvised on the spot with just a little direction from me or elements of my themes thrown in, and on tracks 3, 6, and 10 they improvised solos or adapted my themes. Lastly, I used some of their playing as material to sample, distort, and incorporate into much of the remainder of the score. Another thanks to Chandra Rajagopal and Matt Law for taking "Eve's Tune" for a spin before I recorded it with Ross.
